What is a mangrove? To give you an idea, its basically swampland, and the water is usually brackish.
Wetlands at Sungei Buloh.
Tampines River at the eastern side of Singapore. This is one of my favourite mangrove
haunts. I'm such a swamp thing.
And these are typical mangrove roots, see how the roots actually grow above ground level.
That's a man (probably fishing) on some dry rocky ground between wetland and the river.
And these men are fishing at the riverbank. Due to the brackish nature of the water here, I've
spotted freshwater staples like tilapia, as well as brackish water fish such as archerfish
mullets and halfbeaks, and even saltwater species like jellyfish.
I guess I found nemo, he got swept up a mangrove and got stranded when the tide went
down.
